This Privacy Policy explains how the fourtn. mobile application (“fourtn.”, “the app”, “we”) handles your information.
The short version
- fourtn. stores all your data on your device.
- We do not collect, transmit, or sell your personal information.
- We have no accounts, no servers, no cloud sync, no analytics, and no tracking.
- We cannot see your data because it never leaves your phone.
If you delete the app, your data is gone with it.
What data fourtn. uses
To work as a money planning tool, fourtn. stores the information you choose to enter, such as:
- Income sources, pay amounts, and pay dates
- Expenses, bills, credit card details (name and balance), savings goals, and buffers
- One-off payments and notes
- App preferences (theme, currency, notification settings, display unit)
- Optional snapshots you save manually
All of this is held in local storage on your device. It is not transmitted to us, to any server, or to any third party.
What data fourtn. does not collect
We do not collect:
- Your name, email, phone number, address, or any contact information
- Your bank login details, account numbers, or card numbers (we do not connect to banks)
- Your location
- Device identifiers used for advertising or tracking
- Usage analytics, crash reports tied to you, or behavioural data
We do not have user accounts. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to log into.
In-app purchases (tips)
If you choose to send a tip through the app, the purchase is processed by Apple via the App Store. Apple’s privacy practices apply to that transaction. We receive the tip amount through Apple but do not receive your payment details, name, or email.
Notifications
If you turn on notifications, they are scheduled and displayed entirely on your device by iOS. No notification content is sent through our servers because we don’t have any.
Sharing data
You can choose to export your data as a file (for example, to back it up or move it to another device). When you do this, the file is created on your device and you control where it goes. We do not see it.
The Couples view feature lets you share a small snapshot of your top-line totals with a partner via a file you generate. You decide if and how to share that file.
Third parties
fourtn. does not include any third-party advertising SDKs, tracking SDKs, or analytics SDKs.
The App Store handles the download and any in-app purchases under Apple’s own privacy terms.
Children
fourtn. is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because we do not collect information at all.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. Major changes will be highlighted inside the app.
